Customs and Import Charges Policy

Effective: July 23, 2026Version: customs-2026-07-23Status: Draft

The first-stage direction assumes the United States customer is usually responsible for import requirements, but this allocation requires legal and lane-specific review.

1. Importer responsibility

Where disclosed for the order, the customer may be the importer of record and may need to provide accurate information, respond to the carrier or customs authority, and pay duties, taxes, brokerage, or other import charges.

2. Estimates

Any duty or import-cost estimate is informational unless checkout expressly states that the amount is final and collected. Classification, valuation, origin, government action, and carrier practices can change the final charge.

3. Customs processing

Orbmare may coordinate documents supplied by the customer, supplier, and carrier but does not act as a licensed customs broker unless expressly disclosed and legally authorized. Orbmare cannot guarantee customs release.

4. Refusal or non-cooperation

Failure to provide required information or pay disclosed import charges may cause delay, return, storage, abandonment, or other costs. Any allocation of those costs must follow the accepted item terms and applicable law.

[OWNER_REVIEW_REQUIRED]

  • Confirm importer of record, delivery terms, de minimis assumptions, and customs partner for each lane.
  • Confirm whether duties are estimated, prepaid, or collected on delivery.
  • Obtain customs and tax professional review before launch.
